👥 Mentor-Mentee Cell
(Formerly known as the Guardian Tutor Scheme)
The Mentor-Mentee Cell was initiated by Digambarrao Bindu Arts, Commerce, and Science College, Bhokar, District Nanded with the aim of providing personalized support and guidance to students. The objective is to help students overcome academic and personal challenges, enhance their career prospects, and contribute meaningfully to nation-building.
This successful initiative bridges the gap between mentors and mentees, fostering a strong connection between students, their families, and the institution. It ensures that students receive the right guidance throughout their academic journey.
💬 Interaction & Support
Mentors provide continuous support through:
- In-person meetings on campus
- Telephone conversations
- Personal visits to the homes of mentees
Mentors guide students on study techniques, personal counseling, career choices, and exam preparation. They also provide detailed information on courses, fees, reviews, admissions, scholarships, and more.

📋 Programme Details
- Mentees are assigned to mentors from the first year of their programme
- Each mentor will have no more than 30 mentees
- Mentees preferably remain with the same mentor throughout their course
- Mentors meet mentees regularly and maintain records of interactions
- Exceptional students are identified and recommended for further encouragement
- Underperforming students are counseled, and if needed, parents and department heads are involved

👨🏫 Mentor Responsibilities
- Introduce the mentor-mentee system to assigned students
- Conduct initial meetings and collect necessary details
- Monitor attendance, academics, and behavior in coordination with the exam department
- Provide academic and emotional support
- Contact parents and visit mentees’ homes at least twice a year
- Arrange remedial teaching when required
👩🎓 Mentee Responsibilities
- Attend meetings regularly
- Submit personal information upon joining the system
- Provide updates on attendance, assessments, exams, and activities when requested
- Trust the mentor and seek guidance when needed.
मार्गदर्शक-शिष्य प्रणाली (Mentor-Mentee Cell)
पूर्वी “गार्जियन ट्यूटर योजना” म्हणून ओळखली जाणारी ही योजना दिगंबरराव बिंदू कला, वाणिज्य आणि विज्ञान महाविद्यालय, भोकर, जिल्हा नांदेड येथे सुरू करण्यात आली आहे. या योजनेचा उद्देश विद्यार्थ्यांना शैक्षणिक आणि व्यावसायिक मार्गदर्शन देऊन त्यांच्या सर्वांगीण विकासाला चालना देणे आणि राष्ट्रनिर्मितीत योगदान देणे आहे.
ही एक अत्यंत यशस्वी योजना आहे जी मार्गदर्शक आणि शिष्य यांच्यातील अंतर कमी करण्याचा प्रयत्न करते आणि समाजाशीही सुसंवाद साधते. पदवी अभ्यासक्रमादरम्यान विद्यार्थ्यांना अनेक अडचणींचा सामना करावा लागतो—शैक्षणिक अडचणी, समायोजनाचे प्रश्न इत्यादी. या समस्यांवर मात करण्यासाठी आणि विद्यार्थ्यांना त्यांच्या पूर्ण क्षमतेने विकसित होण्यासाठी ही योजना राबवली जाते.
संवाद आणि मार्गदर्शन
विद्यार्थ्यांना वैयक्तिक सल्ला देण्यासाठी आम्ही खालील माध्यमांचा वापर करतो:

- दूरध्वनीद्वारे संपर्क
- विद्यार्थ्यांच्या घरी वैयक्तिक भेटी
मार्गदर्शक शिक्षक विद्यार्थ्यांना अभ्यास, वैयक्तिक सल्ला, करिअर निवड, विद्यापीठ परीक्षांमध्ये यश मिळवण्यासाठी मार्गदर्शन करतात. तसेच अभ्यासक्रम, फी, प्रवेश प्रक्रिया, शिष्यवृत्ती यासंबंधी माहितीही दिली जाते.
ही योजना शिक्षक-विद्यार्थी यांच्यातील अंतर कमी करण्यात प्रभावी ठरली आहे आणि विद्यार्थी, त्यांचे पालक आणि संस्था यांच्यात सुसंवाद निर्माण करण्यात महत्त्वाची भूमिका बजावत आहे.

कार्यक्रमाचे तपशील
- शिष्यांना प्रथम वर्षापासूनच मार्गदर्शक शिक्षक नेमले जातील
- एका मार्गदर्शकाकडे एकावेळी जास्तीत जास्त ३० शिष्य असतील
- शक्यतो शिष्य संपूर्ण अभ्यासक्रमात एकाच मार्गदर्शक शिक्षकाशी संलग्न असतील
- मार्गदर्शक शिक्षक नियमितपणे शिष्यांशी भेटतील आणि त्याचे नोंदवहीत नोंद करतील
- विशेष प्रगती करणाऱ्या विद्यार्थ्यांची माहिती विभागप्रमुखांना दिली जाईल
- कमी उपस्थिती किंवा कामगिरी असलेल्या विद्यार्थ्यांशी संवाद साधून समस्या शोधल्या जातील. गरज असल्यास पालक आणि विभागप्रमुखांचा सहभाग घेतला जाईल
निरीक्षणाचे क्षेत्र
- उपस्थिती: उपस्थितीचे निरीक्षण व आवश्यक कार्यवाही
- शैक्षणिक बाबी: सतत मूल्यांकन, परीक्षा कामगिरीचे निरीक्षण व remedial teaching
- वर्तन व शिस्त
- आरोग्य व शारीरिक कल्याण
- गुणवत्ता, कौशल्ये व सहशैक्षणिक सहभाग
- तणावाशी संबंधित बाबी
मार्गदर्शकाचे कर्तव्य
- शिष्यांना प्रणालीची माहिती देणे
- सर्व शिष्यांची बैठक घेणे व आवश्यक माहिती संकलित करणे
- उपस्थिती, शैक्षणिक कामगिरी व वर्तनाचे निरीक्षण
- शैक्षणिक व भावनिक सहाय्य प्रदान करणे
- पालकांशी संपर्क साधणे व वर्षातून किमान दोन वेळा शिष्यांच्या घरी भेट देणे
- आवश्यक remedial teaching चे आयोजन करणे
शिष्याचे कर्तव्य
- नियमितपणे बैठकीस उपस्थित राहणे
- प्रणालीमध्ये सामील होताना वैयक्तिक माहिती भरून देणे
- उपस्थिती, सतत मूल्यांकन, परीक्षा, सहशैक्षणिक सहभाग याची माहिती मार्गदर्शकाला देणे
- मार्गदर्शकावर विश्वास ठेवणे व आवश्यकतेनुसार सल्ला घेणे
