Since the inception of our college (1989),Department of Economics started economics as an optional subject. Two faculty run the department, Dr. Sanjay Kale works as an HOD and Dr. Madhavrao Biradar as an Associate Professor .Department had organized One Day National Seminar on “Effects of Black Money in Indian Economy” in Oct.2012. Both faculty have got approval as Research Supervisor by the affiliated university S.R.T.M.U. Nanded.
Two research scholors have completed Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr.Madhavrao Biradar and has a three research scholor’s research work is in progress. Dr. Sanjay Kale has published 24 research papers and he also published One edited Books. Dr. Madhavrao Biradar has published 33 research papers and Three Text Books and also published two edited Books. Many alumni of the department have cleared NET /SET exams and working as an Assistant professors in various colleges. One of the alumni doing has research work in renowne Rresearch Institute of Economics..

Economists will look at risks and benefits on people, the job market and society as a whole when advising how to allocate resources . Economics provide information and forecasting to inform decisions within companies and government. Thise knowledge of economics or economic intelligence is based on data and modellings.

A broad subject, economics provides answers to a range of health, social and political issues that impact households and wider communities. Understanding how consumers behave is a vital for a business to succeed. Economists use theories and models to predict behaviour and inform business strategies For example, how to analyze ‘big data’.
