The department of Marathi is established in the year 1989 along with the establishment of our college. Marathi is being taught since then as one of the optionals as well as a second language. Both for faculty of arts and commerce. It is one of the important departments of which the enrollment ratio is more as compared to other languages.
The number of curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities carried out adds and enriches to the subject knowledge of the student. It also helps in developing the skills of our students through seminars, group discussions, writing for monthly wall magazines, “Shabdankur” and though the annual magazine of the college, “ Vedan” . it is not lagging behind in organizing number of competitions like debate and elocution skills of the students. The department also arranges the guest lectures of eminent subject experts to add to the knowledge of the students.
