The department of Botany has established in 2011. It was lead by Dr Sachin Tawade as temporary faculty initially, in August 2014 Dr Sachin Tawade joined as an Asstt. Prof. on first post as full time appointment, in Oct. 2015, Dr. Nagesh Dhole has joined on Second Post in the department. The department has highly qualified staff. They are actively engaged in teaching as well as research activities. Since its establishment, the department has maintained reputation and good Academic performance in this area. It has a good record of results in the university examinations. The department has separate cabin computer desktops with internet facility. The department has organized various events such as Int. Conference, Exhibitions, Study tours, Krushi Margadarshan etc.
The study of Botany aims to expand and increase current knowledge about plants in order to solve problems in many fields including agriculture, ecology, medicine, biotechnology and horticulture.
Students will also acquire fundamental knowledge in Plant Science and also understand that Botany is an integral part of the human life and developments.
specific skills to the students will lead to the self employability through development of their own enterprises.
