Career Oriented Course / Career Oriented Program

M. Com. In Banking & Insurance Services Under UGC Innovative Programme – Teaching & Research In Interdisplinary And Emerging Areas

UGC has sanctioned “Career Oriented Course / Career Oriented Program” in Our college. For gainful employment in the wage sector in general and selfemployment in particular, This course is very necessary and designed to ensure that graduates who pass out after completing these courses would have knowledge, skills and aptitude for the job in any sector.

Duration: 3 Years

Following Are The Objectives Of The Programme

The objective of the scheme is to introduce career and market-oriented, skill enhancing add-on courses that have utility for job, self-employment and empowerment of the students. At the end of three years, the students will be equipped with a Certificate/Diploma/Advanced diploma in an add-on orientation course along with a conventional degree in Science/Arts/Commerce.

After Graduation, any candidate could apply for this course.

Gandhian studies centers approved by UGC in our college for the period of 4 years w.e.f. 2013 to 2017, Thereafter college is aimming run this course on self finance basic. The college aims to implement the following activities to disseminate the ideas & philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi, to conduct studies, research & extension activities that are necessary in the reconstruction of society on moral, ethical & spiritual foundations essential for a non-violent social order among the teachers & students.

ESTABLISHED UNDER THE SCHEME OF EPOCH-MAKING SOCIAL THINKERS OF INDIA DURING THE XI PLAN PERIOD: 2007-2012 BY THE DEPARTMENT OF POLITICAL SCIENCE

This Centre offers the Following Research & Extension Programs:

1Talks/lectures followed by interactive sessions with teachers & students of the college (from every discipline if they are interested to attend) and those invited from other colleges. Well-known scholars engaged in the field of Gandhian philosophy would be invited to deliver.
2Organization of Seminars/ workshops involving students & teachers.
3Organization of training courses of one-week duration for teachers & research students.
4Organization of regional level special camps for students.
5Short-term courses of three-month duration from time to time to involve interested people from all walks of life. On completion, they would be offered certificates.
6Organization of rallies through villages in the Taluka.
7Propagation of the thoughts of Gandhi among the people imprisoned at the district level jail.
8Minor research projects for teachers & research students.
9Propagation of Gandhian philosophy by publishing the selected research paper by the eminent scholars in the edited book bearing ISBN No.
10To form a network of NGOs at regional to propagate Gandhian philosophy.
